Chicago Craft Beer Week

Get Ready to Drink

Chicago Craft Beer Week kicks off this Thursday and runs until Sunday, May 29. For all you mathematicians that noticed the “week” is actually ten days—well done. We assume the fine folks at the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild are kindly factoring in a few recovery days. And with more than 300 participating venues and a schedule like this, you’ll do well to take advantage of it. This seventh year should be pretty epic. Here’s where you can find us:

Thursday, May 19.
Beer Under Glass. This is the not-to-miss, kick-off CCBW event held at the gorgeous Garfield Park Conservatory.

Thursday, May 19 - May 21.
Cheers to Local Beers. Monk’s Pub will be tapping only Chicago craft beer for three days, including our beautiful new Belgian-style Fig Dubbel.

Thursday, May 19 - May 29.
Tesori Pizza Party. Tesori knows there’s nothing better than pizza and beer, so they're pairing Sublime Ginger with their Puttanesca pizza (tomato, mozzarella, caper, olives, parsley). They’re also serving Moody Tongue’s Applewood Gold and Green Flash’s West Coast IPA, and flights of all three beers are available.

Tuesday, May 24.
Whole Foods Market Tap Takeover. Forbidden Root is taking over the 1550 Bar taps at the Lincoln Park location from 5-7pm.

Wednesday, May 25.
Forbidden Root Beer Dinner. Tickets for this epic five-course dinner with Executive Chef Dan and Head Brewer BJ Pichman are super limited, so make your move—call 312.929.2202 to purchase tickets.

Friday, May 27.
Ultra Fresh Brews Event. Bitter Pops will be tapping the freshest of the fresh, including WPA, from 6-9pm.

Saturday, May 28.
Welles Park Craft Beer Fest. A beautiful park, craft beer, food, and *hopefully* gorgeous weather. What more could you need? (Hint: tickets.)

Sunday, May 29.
Forbidden Root Brewer's Brunch. Close out CCBW with our special $8 beer flight and Chef Dan's Griddled Corn Cake with poached egg, kimchi hollandaise, and shaved purple asparagus. Full brunch menu and beer cocktails will also be available.

And stop by the brewery & restaurant any time during CCBW to get your passport stamped, try our $8 CCBW flight, and refuel for your next beer adventure.
